Grocery haul turned into, the food I eat

Hey girls, I hope you're all well. It's a bit cold and windy out today, but at least we can see some blue in the sky :-)

Yesterday I went food shopping, and I thought I would do a haul, because I thought it would be cool. Plus you know I'm on a health kick right now, and thought that if any of you guys are too, then this might help you. However, I just started taking pictures of all the food in my house, that I eat, that I didn't buy yesterday. Most of it is healthy though and I do hope that it helps any of you, if you need some ideas on what healthy foods to buy :-)

What the inside of my fridge looks like

Cathedral city is my favourite cheese

I only ever use Stork, it's so light

Kinda loving blueberries at the moment

Cherry tomatoes are so yummy

Lemons for my morning cup of lemon water

The inside of my cupboard (I try and keep this to myself but it never seems to work)

These are yummy. You can have them on their own or with cheese. I'm going to have some tonight with my pasta

Everybody needs a treat now and again. (I have no idea why we have so much Hot chocolate)

My favourite tea brand

I bought this a while ago, but have never got around to trying it, though I am excited to

More treats

These are surprisingly yummy. I was a bit hesitant to try Bran flakes but now, I actually like them

Quick breakfasts, or yummy snacks

Sweet potatoes are so good!

Quorn and Tesco's meat free mince. I prefer the Tesco version but both are pretty good

Best. Burgers. Ever!

These are so good. They can be mixed with anything!

I personally prefer Tesco's meat free sausages, but Quorn are just as good

The inside of our 'everything else' cupboard, I was not going to show you each item from there

I hope you enjoyed this post, and don't forget to leave your comments. Let me know what healthy food you like to eat and I might pick it up next week :-)

Sisterhood of the world of bloggers

Hey girls, hope you're all well.

About 2 weeks ago, I was nominated for the 'Sisterhood of the world of bloggers' award by Ember of Emberdrake, and it is such an honer to win this.

I've never read or watch 'Sisterhood of the traveling pants' however I have heard a lot about it, and this award conveys that friendship between beauty bloggers. You guys always leave such lovely comments on my posts, and I love reading your posts too. I adore the whole community aspect of blogging, it's the main reason I do it.

The rules for accepting:

  1. Include the awards logo in your post or on your blog
  2. Share the love and link the person who nominated you
  3. Tell 7 facts about yourself
  4. Nominate 7 other beautiful bloggers
  5. Link your nominees to this post and comment on their blogs, letting them know they've been nominated
7 facts about me:
  1. I hate beer, cider and wine. I really wish I liked them, as they are seen as more sociably acceptable drinks to be bought, or at house parties, and wine always makes me think of sophistication, but, alas it makes me want to gag.
  2. I'm kinda obsessed with being organised. I am constantly making to do lists, colour co-ordinating, re-organising etc. I don't feel right if I go out without my diary, cause it has everything I need in it. I also need a routine for everything, which I think I've mentioned before.
  3. I would love a cat. I have always wanted one, and my mum and dad have always said that they'll buy me one once I have my own place, which will hopefully be soon.
  4. I don't wear make-up very often, I would much rather focus on my skin care.
  5. I love reading quotes, in fact I have an entire wall dedicated to them.
  6. I hardly ever leave my house without my bag. It has everything I would ever need in it.
  7. I have recently stopped reading a book because I realised I didn't like it. I've only ever done that once before, because I always try and give the book a chance, but I realised that the genre just isn't my reading style
7 bloggers:

  2. Beabarella from beabarella
  3. Charlotte from notafashionstudent
  4. Beth from allthingsbeautiful
  5. Sarah from soupforthegirlysoul
  6. Sarah from Tullesandtrinkets
  7. Chelle from Chellesbeauty
Hope you enjoyed this post, and thanks for sticking by me, even when I've been absent, you guys are the best!

Check back tomorrow for a random but maybe exciting post

Excuses and my last 2 weeks in Instagram

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

I feel like I've not written anything for so long, even though it's only been a weekend. I was supposed to be out every night this weekend, which was very exciting for me, because normally I have no life, like at all, however I came down with a stomach bug, and missed my YF social on Saturday, my final YF on Sunday, and my friends birthday tonight.

It really sucks being ill, but I did get to spend some quality time with my mum on Friday. We spent the day shopping in Chester, in the rain (maybe that's why I'm ill) which was great, I adore Chester. We then went to see Magic Mike in Cheshire Oaks, which was pretty good. I mean the acting and story line was crap, but lets face it naked guys will always make up for that ;-P.

Anyway, seeing as I didn't do this last week, you're getting the last 2 weeks of my life on Instagram, enjoy :')

Internet acting up again!

Very British summer, rain!

Chocolate and Bacon rashers combined, tastes ok as long as you eat the chocolate straight away, otherwise the chocolate tastes icky

Cocktail I had at my friends

What I wanted to do on that day

But instead did some gardening

I'm loving blueberries at the moments

I got all wet when I went to get ......

Snacks for a tea and movie day with my mum (we do that a lot)

All the alcohol we had to throw out, because it was years out of date when we were cleaning out our alcohol cupboard (we basically only have wine and whisky left, and none of us drink either of those)

Internet cutting out again!

A scab I got when I fell over kinda looks like a heart, although it's not very clear in this picture

I crashed my computer when I opened too many tabs trying to catch up on my blog posts

A healthy lunch I had, and it was so good!

A healthy dinner I had. It is going to be my perfect winter meal (I'm annoyingly obsessed with winter right now)

I painted my nails orange, the polish came free with this months cosmopolitan

Rain for my mum and I's day out in Chester

Starbucks hot chocolate in Chester. Seriously, I am ready for winter

Amazing pancakes my mum and I had in Frankie and Benny's before watching Magic Mike

Blue lying beside me as I was curled up on the sofa feeling sorry for myself

Now I am off to clean my make-up brushes before grabbing an early night

Kim's Book Corner

Hey girls, I hope you're all well. Well I came up with a name for my book reviews, but I feel like it is too close to Ember's, which is Ember's book nook, so if you guys have any other ideas let me know in the comments below :-)

Today I want to do a review on a book that has been out for a while, and I have had for a couple of years, but for some reason I never got around to reading, and it is 'The Vampire Diaries'.

I bought this book when the TV series began, and started reading it straight away, but for whatever reason I never finished it. I kinda put it away and forgot about it (same thing I did with another book I am reading right now) But I decided that this summer I was going to read all the books I have always wanted to read but  never got around to, and this, obviously, was one of them.

This has 2 books in one, so they are really short, and great summer reads. I can't really read 'vampire' novels at the moment because they make me panic about my media studies exam (we studied a vampire movie) however, I found that you forgot that Stefan isn't human. Although there was a few times you remembered, but it wasn't too bad. I've found recently that I am enjoying reading about humans, rather than vampires or werewolves, because I don't, personally, like the hype around them. I guess for that reason I was hesitant about reading this, but I delved right in and, it only took me a couple of days to read.

There are other books in the series, and the way the second boo ended was very smart. I ends on a cliffhanger, and leaves you wanting more, so I will probably be reading the others.
It also made me want to watch the TV series from the beginning again, and I'm kind of excited to do that.

Overall I would totally recommend this book to everyone who enjoys teenage novels, or just want a simple book to escape into, because you really do lose yourself in it.
Have you guys read this book? If so what did you think? Let me know in the comments below

Talk to you all soon

Things to make you smile

Hey girls, I have been super lazy today. I didn't even get dressed and I kind of likes it, I've just watched TV and read my book, which I have almost finished :-)

Anyway, here are some things that made me smile today:

Quote:

I think I am becoming obsessed with Audery Hepburn quotes. Maybe I should watch some of her movies

Picture:

I just thought that this was really funny, I actually laughed out loud when I saw it. And you know what? I think I would still laugh if a guy did say it to me

Song:

I haven't actually listened to music today, but this song always makes me smile, so I'll share this with you all

That's all for today, check back tomorrow for some fun posts, but until then ....
