Organising my room

Hey girls I hope you are all well.

Today I wanted to share with you some before and after pictures of some parts of my room that I recently organised. As you all know, I am always re-organising and I know that next month my room will be completely re-organised again, but until then, I thought it would be nice to share with you all how my room is now.

This is my dressing 'table' which is constantly changing. On here I keep whatever body wash and body lotion I am currently using. I also keep my rings and earrings on here with a candle lantern in the middle (which looks so pretty at when lit at night)

This is part of my make-up collection. As you can probably tell I did get rid of some of my make-up from here which makes it easier to keep organised as I only have what I use. I keep my face products (foundation, blusher, bronzer) on the top, lip products in the middle and eye products on the bottom. I like to keep everything together.

This is the rest of my make-up collection (minus my everyday make-up) I keep it in a drawer. As you can see I have a lot of nail polish, but I do paint my nails a lot LOL. Underneath the Victoria Jackson make-up I have a box full of spares, like razors, moisturisers etc. but I don't have any good pictures to show you.

This drawer is where I keep my electrical beauty items, for my hair, feet and hair removal. This drawer used to be on the bottom, but I thought it made more sense to keep all my beauty items together, so now what was in the middle drawer is now the bottom. That drawer is my 'junk' drawer, but even that is organised :-P (Again I don't have any good pictures to share with you all)

I don't really know how to explain this. I tend to just keep this area as  decorative. I moved a chair close to it to sit on whilst reading a book, and I keep a cup of tea on there, which I enjoy LOL

When organising this post, I realised that I actually didn't take many before pictures, but if you like I could continue this post with just the after pictures another day? Or maybe start an organisation series? Let me know what you think in the comments below. Also can you let me know what you think of this post? I know it's not the best post, but I've never done an organisation post before and wasn't entirely sure how to do it, but I will improve.

I think that's all for today I'm off to watch True Blood then cook a yummy and healthy dinner :-)

Remember to ....

My week in Instagram

Hey girls, I hope you've all had a relaxing Sunday.

Today I decided I want to put more effort into my blog, and I've realized that most peoples Instagram posts are edited into a collage/framed , however I'm still looking for a website or app/software that I like, so if anyone has any suggestions for free photo editing software please let me know.
Until I find one though this post will be the way it always has been :-)

I really like tea

Lord of the rings in one hard back book. This is heavy and that makes it hard to read, so I'm looking for them separately in libraries to read :-)

Enjoying the sun, with hair out of my face and plenty of sunscreen on (hence the white face)

Wearing my brothers hat, pretending to be a 'Gangsta'

Outfit of the night which I wore to the pub (I've been going to pubs a lot lately so I might do more of these)

Both me and Blue were very tired that day

A smoothie I made, but I can't remember the ingredients other than blueberries and bananas

My mum recommended this book and I enjoyed it a lot (if you want a review let me know)

My best friend came to stay for a couple of days and on the first night we watched The Powerpuff Girls movie and got a little bit tipsy

We were one of the first to get our tent up at Soul Survivor, it only took us about 20 minutes with just 3 of us :-)

First main meeting at Soul Survivor, before it started. The main meeting place is always packed and during worship a cross is projected at the back of the stage. Best. Thing. Ever.

My brother finally bought this for me the other day. He bought it for me a few Christmases ago for Xbox, however the Xbox belongs to him so I never really got to play it, he wanted the game too so he bought it for PS3 for me

I got really stuck at the beginning of level 3 turns out you have to get to that part very quickly before the gate closes again

Doggy sleeping in the garden. He is adorable when he is asleep

Well I hope you enjoyed this post. How has your week been? Let me know in the comments below.

Right I am going back to True Blood and I think I'm going to do my 'Spa night routine' because I was out last night. How are you guys spending your Sunday night?  However you choose I hope it's perfect :-) And remember ....

July Ins and Outs

Hey girlies, I hope you are all well. Sorry for this post not being posted yesterday, but I had to go into town pretty early to get my phone fixed then I went and played games at my friends house, which was fun. I also played Frisbee at night, which was pretty cool, although I am the kind of person who gets freaked out so easily. (Does going near the trees at night count as something that scares me? LOL)
Anyway onto my Ins and Outs of the past month.

In:

  1. WeHeartIt - I have become obsessed with this again, and go on it at least about 3 times every time I go online
  2. Chick Lit - I like chick lit, but it rarely gives you anything to think about when reading it, which is why I don't read it very often. However I have realized that right now that's what I need; I need to escape and not think, until my results come out, then I plan on re-reading Harry Potter, and reading Lord of the rings
  3. Healthy food - I am really loving healthy food at the moment, particularly fruit and soup. I love soup so much, particularly in the winter (yes, I'm still obsessed with winter)
  4. True Blood - I have started watching it again and am currently on season 3 and am watching episode 2 right now. I don't even know why I stopped watching it, it's awesome. I'm hoping to catch up by the end of the week. It shouldn't take too long, 24 hours for the next 2 seasons, then 8 or 9 hours for season 5, I can do that LOL
Out:
  1. I'm just gonna say summer here, although throughout the month we have been getting random summer days, I just can't wait until we aren't supposed to have summer weather, cause then I'll be happy. I really do love autumn and winter.
  2. Having money - I spent too much money when I was away, mostly on food, so I don't much left. I really need to get a job LOL

Huh, I guess that's all I have for my Ins and Outs this month, I don't really have much LOL. These posts tend to be short for me, and I've just had an idea on how to make them longer, and if it works, I'll let you know. I'm actually excited about it. Sorry, that was really random and pointless, so I'll end the post now. Check back later for my week in Instagram.

Until then ....

New Years Resolutions update

Hey girlies, I hope you are all well. I know I was supposed to keep updating this whilst I was away, however I never got around to writing them as I got busy packing and things; but I'm back now and (hopefully) will be updating roughly everyday (maybe not the 16th but we'll see)

As it is the beginning of a new month, today I am sharing with you all my New Years Resolutions update, to keep you informed and to keep me motivated.

  1. Follow my skincare routine day and night
  2. Brush my teeth everyday and night
  3. Take my vitamins everyday
  4. Eat cleaner/healthier
  5. Work harder at school and work so I can get into university
  6. Read 6 books by the summer holidays
  7. Appreciate all that I have more often
  8. Do something that scares me at least once a month
  9. Learn to play the ukulele

  1. I'm quite proud of myself for this, I have really stuck to it and have skin I'm proud of now (minus the odd spot or blackhead) I have even found something to do for those nights where I am feeling slightly lazy, but I'll let you all know that in a later post.
  2. I'm pretty proud of myself for this too, as I now hardly ever miss a night unless I am ill or fall asleep super early
  3. For some reason I have stopped taking my vitamins, and I'm really not sure why, but I'm going to get back to that this month as I have noticed my energy levels dip and I've been ill quite a bit recently
  4. I try so hard with this, as you could tell from my 'What food I have in my house post'. Obviously there are some slip ups but overall I like to think I am pretty healthy now
  5. I find out if all my hard work paid off this month and I am terrified (that's why you might not get a post on the 16th, because my exam results are released then)
  6. I am on my 8th book which I started last night, and might even finish today (it's a short book)
  7. I definitely feel like I am appreciating everything a lot more lately and have thought of a couple of ways to help those less fortunate too
  8. I'll be honest and say that I completely forgot about this one, but I will do plenty this month to make up for it (including walking into sixth form to get my results, which is probably the scariest thing I will have to do all year)
  9. I'm not doing so well on this, but I plan on playing this weekend, because I don't have much else to do :-)
Well that's it for this month. How are you guys doing with your resolutions? Let me know in the comments below, I'd love to know.

Right I am off to feed the dog, take my vitamins, get a cup of tea and crawl back into bed and hopefully shake this severe cold/mild flu off today.

Talk to you all later and remember

Summertime holidays - What's in my suitcase (for a festival)

Hey girlies, I hope you've all had a brilliant day.

As promised I am here with my suitcase post.

Wellies as essential, I basically live in mine. Not shown in any of the pictures is flip-flops for showering.

A roll mat and a sleeping bag are obvious things but sometimes you forget

A waterproof jacket is essential, especially here in the UK, where it rains all the time

A torch because you need to be able to see where you're going late at night

Mini shampoo, conditioner and body wash, for showering, but lets face it you won't get to shower everyday, so baby wipes and dry shampoo are great for cleaning up. Face wipes are a better way of washing your face too, because you won't really be able to wash properly whilst there.

When packing I suggest putting your hard or heavier items on the bottom, that way when you try to close your case it is easier to squish everything down.
This isn't everything but just what I thought was essential.
Obviously you need things like clothes, I've packed jeans, shorts and leggings, with t-shirts and vest tops, just for some variety. I think fuzzy socks are great too as they will keep your feet warm at night. Speaking of which, you will want thick pyjamas, I am taking my tiger onsie as it is super cosy.
Towels and plastic plates and cutlery are also important; you need something to eat off of LOL

Well, I think that's all. I will be writing some posts in the next couple of days and scheduling them for when I am away so I (hopefully) don't miss a day.

Talk to you all later

Summertime holidays - what to have in your carry-on

Hey girlies, I know that this was supposed to be posted yesterday, but for whatever reason I never got around to it. However, to make up for it, I will be doing this and my final Summertime holidays post today.

When I travel, I only ever really have 1 carry-on and that is my normal handbag. Therefore my carry-on is full of what I regularly carry around with me. However, some things I carry I think are also perfect for travelling with, which is what I will be sharing with you all today.

The first thing I think you should have is snacks! I carry a few extra snacks with me when I am travelling because you save money. Service stations tend to be super expensive so I like to make sure I have enough snacks for my journey.

The next thing I think you need is a book/magazine. I love reading, and journeys are perfect for sinking into a good book, and I love that.

Another thing I like to have with me is my Nintendo DS. I am a little bit of a gamer, so I like having games with me, just in case I feel like playing a game rather than reading.

One last thing I have to have with me is music. As well as sinking into a good book, I like to zone out with some music. I normally listen to music if I'm playing a game rather than reading. I don't really like to listen to music when I'm reading because I tend to feel like I'm not taking in the book I'm reading.

I hope this post was helpful for you guys. Check back later as I pack.

Until then....

Summertime holidays - Travel hairstyle ideas

Hey girlies, I hope you're all well. I'm sorry I didn't post anything yesterday, I was out all day and didn't get home until quarter to midnight, so I genuinely didn't get a chance to write anything. However I have learnt that I should write my posts and schedule them to be posted, which I will be doing for when I am away.

Anyways, here is my travel hairstyles.

When I am travelling I like to keep my hair away from my face, so here are some of my favourites.

What I love about all of these styles is that they are super quick to do, look cute, and keep your hair off of your face.
What I like to do is style these styles with wet hair; that way, when I get there, I can take it out, and have these beautiful waves, ready for your first night there.

I hope you all enjoyed this post. Tomorrows travel series post, will be what I carry with me, so be sure to check back for that.

Talk to you all later beautiful girls

Sumertime holidays - travel outfit ideas

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

As promised here is my travel outfit ideas for you all; I put it all on one Polyvore, just to make it easier to publish.

I like to keep things casual for travelling, because you could be sitting down for a long time, so you want to be comfortable!

Sweat pants, are super comfortable, but if you don't want to look super sporty, then go for leggings. They are stylish and comfortable, by letting your legs breath and move freely, unlike jeans.
I normally wear a plain top underneath a hoodie or an oversized jumper. This is not only comfortable, but can keep you warm too.
For shoes, I like to wear something that I can slip off, as I like to take them off in the car/coach/train, and curl up to read or stare out of the window. When I've taken my shoes off, I like to put on some fuzzy socks, just for extra comfort.
I normally just use whatever handbag I'm using at the time, but I like the one in this collage, it has a strap for over the shoulder, and looks like it can hold everything you need for your trip.

Things that made me smile today

Hey girls, I hope you've all had a beautiful day, whether you had sun or rain.

I'm writing this at 4:05pm because I'm off to a pub quiz tonight, but I've scheduled it to be posted at 11:00pm, so I was wondering, could you let me know what time this was posted?
Any who, here is what made me smile today

This makes me think of summer, and it is exactly what I need right now, because I am a little bit too obsessed with autumn and winter.

Summertime holidays - Travel make-up ideas

Hey girls, I'm starting a new series today for all of those who are going away this summer. I know I should've started this sooner, but I .... umm ..... forgot. Anyway, I'm going away in 8 days, so I thought I would do this now.

Today's post is all about make-up. Now I don't actually wear make-up much any more, so personally I won't be wearing any when I travel, but I know there is many people who don't like leaving the house without make-up, which I think is sad, but that's for another post, so I thought it would be a good idea to share with you all how I would wear my make-up if I was planning on wearing any.

I suggest keeping everything really simple, because it will be easier to take off when you arrive, particularly if you're going to be arriving late at night.
For your base I suggest maybe using a tinted moisturiser or even a BB cream. These will even out your skin tone, yet still be light enough for your skin to breathe.

For eyes, you could just wear some mascara to open your eyes, or if you want to wear some eye-shadow, I would really suggest keeping it really simple, with only a couple of colours. I really like this one, but without the eye-liner

For lips, I think a gloss is good, as it's quick to put on, but a lip stain is great too as it stays on all day, which is what you want. You don't want to be reapplying constantly throughout the day, you'd rather just relax.

I think the main thing to remember for make-up when travelling is ease of removal when you arrive. Also something that can be applied quickly, because I don't know about you, but I always feel like I'm rushing when it comes to the day I leave. I never seem to have everything done ha-ha.

That's all for today, check back tomorrow for hairstyle ideas.

Until then.... Dream beautiful dreams; live beautiful lives
