Blogmas day #15 Elle's 15 question tag

Hey everyone, so I know that this isn't exactly the best post and that it doesn't exactly have anything to do with Christmas, but I am so tired and I just want to go to bed, so I decided to post this. I wrote it a few weeks ago encase of something like this.
Hope you enjoy it.

1. What do you think you can do but can't? When I'm drunk I think I can sing
2. What's a difficult word for you to pronounce? I have a few but one of them is anaphylactic
3. What is a favourite TV show from your childhood? That is hard as I had so many. Hmm I'll go with Sabrina the teenage witch
4. What are your virtues and vices? Mine? I'm a good listener but I am also impatient and not very confident
5. What's more important: love, fame, power, or money? Love
6. If you could live in any era/time period, when would it be and why? 1920's I just love everything about it. Although I do also love the late 1800's
7. If you had to redo your entire wardrobe with 2 stores, what would they be and why? New Look and Matalan, they have a wide range of clothes that are affordable and long lasting
8. Can you recall what you were doing a year ago on this day? No idea
9. Do you have reoccurring dreams? If so, explain? I don't really remember my dreams
10. What's your horoscope? I'm a Libra
11. What does your dream bedroom look like? En-suite bathroom, balcony, walk-in wardrobe and sophisticated. Kind of have a France feel to it maybe
12. What position do you sleep in? On my tummy
13. Who is your favourite vampire of all time? Damon Slavatore or Dracula
14. What are you currently wearing on your feet? Pink fuzzy socks
15. Do you have neat handwriting? Some people say I do, but I disagree.

If you do this tag, or have done it, leave a link in the comments below, I would love to check them out.

Blogmas day #4

Finally, we have the internet back up.

I feel so restless, that I just had to make myself a cup of green tea, in my Christmas mug, to calm down. I haven't stopped all day; I've been cleaning/organising my room.
I love the feeling of accomplishment I get when I finish and today was even better. Every December I gut out my room: clear out under my bed, re-organise my desk, and basically rid my room of anything I own but no longer have a use for, want, or just anything I feel is cluttering up my room. If it's not broken I always give it to charity and I have the bag all ready to take with me tomorrow morning on my way to school. It makes me feel so good, and clear.
I also put up my Christmas decorations! I am missing decorations for my bed though, as I thought that I had tinsel in my Christmas bag, but I don't so I'll have to buy some soon.

I just ordered more Christmas presents! Most of my presents this year have been bought online, simply because it is easier, you can do it whenever and wherever. I have always loved the convenience of online shopping, you don't have to set aside time to go out, and lets face it the delivery costs are probably around the same as how much a bus would cost you or petrol and parking, so it doesn't really even work out more expensive.
I am so close to finishing now. I only have my Dad's main present to buy (which is turning out to be quite difficult to find) and every-one's stocking fillers. It makes me feel good to know that it is all done and that I only have to wrap them up.
How is everyone getting on with their Christmas shopping? Anyone finished? Anyone not started yet?

I just realized how much this post has centred on me feeling good. Oh well, you guys come here to read about my day and today I have felt good. You know, today was the first day in so long that I woke up feeling great. I didn't feel tired, ill or grumpy and it felt amazing. Really set me off for the rest of the day and I really hope that it stays that way for at least a week.

I hope everyone else has had a great day. As always, let me know in the comments below and I look forward to reading them.

Blogmas day #3

Unfortunatly I am again writing a post on my phone. However the internet will be back up tomorrow! Today I did my first Christmassy thing, apart from eating chocolate from my advent calander of course. Today I watched a Christmas movie, one of my favourite things to do. It was Disney's A Christmas Carol. A Christmas Carol, is by far, a story every person knows. Even if you have never read the novel (I am one of those people but plan on changing that this year) you can probably recount the classic tale. And I can guess that most of you have watched at least one version. It is just something that people grow up with and I can bet children will grow up with this tale for generations still. I remember the first version I watched; it was The Muppets version. And as much as I love The Muppets, that movie teriffied me! I haven't watched it since, and I think if I hadn't watched another version unknowingly (what? I was young and impresionable.) I don't think I would've watched any version of it ever again. But I am glad I did, because it really is an incredible tale. So tell me your experiance of A Christmas Carol. I would love to read them. Where you as scared as me? Or did you watch a kinder version? Let me know in the comments below, and I look forward to reading them. Until tomorrow my dear friends. DFTBA Days until Christmas: 22 Days until my first A level exam: 42? Blogmas day #2

Hey everyone so I have no idea how this post is going to turn out because I am writing this on my phone. I currently have no internet on my laptop so have to write todays post like this. Therefore I am keeping it fairly short. Today was another day not particularly filled with anything Christmassy as I am still unwell. But I did finish my book, which I am rather happy about. It was a Katie Price book which, I'll be honest, I didn't expect to really enjoy. I just wanted it to escape into and it did its job. If you like I can do a review? But only if you guys want one. Anyway I am already reading my next book, which I think I will do a review on as just the preface of it had me inspired. I'm sorry but I can't write like this anymore. Hopefully my internet will be back up tomorrow and I can give you a proper post. Until then DFTBA Days until Christmas: 22 Days until my first A level exam: 43? Blogmas day #1

It is finally December! I am so excited! I have been waiting to listen to Christmas songs for months, literally. So guess what I am doing. That's right, listening to Jingle Spells! Harry Potter and Christmas songs, what more could you want?
And on the note of Harry Potter, my DVD came today. So happy about it that I had to watch it straight away.

I was planning on reading all day, seeing as I still have the flu (yeah I know great way to start my favourite month) but obviously that went out of the window when I saw this lying on my dining room table. I always watch the special features first when I get a new movie. I'm not really sure why, it's just something I do. And I have to say that they are pretty awesome! The deleted scenes were kind of disappointing though, because they didn't show what I wanted to see. Although there was one scene they showed which I liked and that was were Tonks came to fight; and yes I did cry. Everything else on the DVD was brilliant and if you are a Potterhead then I don't need to tell you to buy it when it comes out tomorrow (I got it a day early because I pre-ordered it) but if you aren't a Potterhead buy it anyway. And if you aren't a Potterhead get the books, even if it just for Christmas, you should get them. Read them and forever be in love.

Anyway I had better go, my tea is almost ready and I want to do some reading before I go to sleep tonight, because I am really loving the book I am reading right now.

Talk to you all tomorrow, and don't forget to leave me your Blogmas posts in the comments below.

Blogmas introduction

Hey guys.
I know I have been really crap at this blog; so to make up for it I am doing Blogmas. I actually have never seen this before, but someone on twitter mentioned doing Vlogmas and it inspired me to do a blog version. It is going to be my countdown to Christmas. December is probably my favourite months of the year, so I am looking forward to blogging all about it. Please keep checking back everyday, and do it with me if you like! Seriously guys, leave me links to your blogs if you do decide to join me in my Blogmas.

Talk to you all tomorrow!

Study Series #2 My study area

Is it really Sunday? I was supposed to post this yesterday! Oh well you guys are getting it today; simply because I was busy yesterday.
As you can tell by the title, this is my study area. It probably isn't all that interesting, but, seeing as I am doing a study series, I thought I would include it.

So I thought I had a picture of my desk since I organised it but I don't. Guess you will have to wait to see that tomorrow in my first post of my organisation series! Anyway my study area is, obviously, at my desk. I have my laptop, a lamp (on there now, just not here) all the books I am studying and revision guides and I have a calendar and diary. Oh I also have a notebook, to write down all my work I need to do.
On my wall I have a lot of quotes, for inspiration. I also have the poem 'Footprints' and the four points card, just to remind me that Jesus is always with me.
On the wall next to my desk I have my school timetable so I can get organised quickly, a guide to applying to universities (which I don't need any more) a post it not of something I need to do for school and a list of school work I have to do, because the list filled the page.
I think that is it, I'm not writing this at my desk so I can't be 100% certain, but I'm about 90% sure that is everything I have on my desk that I need to mention.
You will get a better shot of my desk tomorrow, so you will see what it looks like organised.
Until then I hope you enjoyed this post, and as always, comment any feedback.
Talk soon.

Study series #1: My biggest tips

Hey everyone, hope you are all well.
If you found this Blog through my old one Beauty for girls on a budget then you will have already seen this post. However I have decided to write it on here anyway, as this is a new Blog, and, therefore, the people reading this, will probably not seen it before.
I love studying and want to share all my tips for studying. I will admit that I do get distracted and I am human so I, therefore, do have days where I am not in the mood for studying. It is ok to have those days, you will not fail if you take a day off. Yet sometimes you have those days when you have a lot of work to do, so this is where my tips come in.

Tip number 1:
Find a place where you don't get distracted but you feel comfortable. For me I work better on the floor when I'm not using my computer but I always work at my desk when typing. Some of you might find it better sitting on your bed, but I don't recommend that because it can be hard to concentrate on your bed. Another thing about working on your bed is that it might either make you want to sleep, or stop you from sleeping when you're not working. I try and have an area for work and an area for pleasure because for me that is the best way to get me to work effectively and it also helps to differentiate between work and pleasure, stopping me from getting distracted.
You might even find that you work better out of the house and at the library. I love working in the library and do feel like I get more work done there.
It is entirely up to you where you study but just think of a place where you won't get distracted. Never forget that you do need to be comfortable otherwise you won't be able to concentrate.

Tip number 2:
Pray before starting any homework. This one is obviously optional depending on whether or not you are Religious. I obviously am, hence why this is one of my biggest tips. I feel that praying for motivation and patience before starting any work helps me a lot because I feel God is with me, helping me to keep working, and without Him I couldn't do it all. I'm not going to force any of you to start praying, but I really do suggest it. Even if you aren't religious, give it ago and trust me you will feel brilliant and really work hard.

Tip number 3:
Music. I don't recommend listening to music that is loud, 'dancy' or distracting in anyway. However I do recommend music that motivates you to work. Of course if listening to your favourite pop song helps you to work, go for it. I find that too distracting, as I end up singing along instead of working, so instead I listen to soft music like this or an album like this, they just keep me motivated and not distracted. If you are listening to music on Youtube I do recommend making a playlist so you are not searching for the song you want to listen to every time you need a new song. It saves time and means you can get more work done.

Tip number 4:
This is something I get distracted by the most, social networking sites. I recommend using this when you are working. It is a site called Self-Control, which blocks any site you want for 90 minutes at a time. You cannot switch it off once the timer starts, even if you switch your computer off, meaning that, even when you get bored you still can't go onto those sites which stop you from working. This is a new discovery for me and, I will be honest, I haven't used it yet, but I have heard wonderful things about it and am excited to use it. I am one of those people that get distracted by sites such as twitter but if I can block them I know that I will get more work done, which is always a bonus.

Tip number 5:
Organisation is key to success. I'm not going to go into much detail here, as I plan on doing a separate post on organising your school work. But I will say that, for me, organising is of utmost importance. I love to organise.

I really hope these tips work for you. Let me know your tips so I can get better at studying. Also if you do try out any of these tips, let me know if they work for you.

Talk to you all soon
