New series | Food Friday

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

This week I decided to start a new series on this blog, (mostly to help me stick to some sort of schedule) called Food Friday. I chose Friday for 2 reason, 1) for the allitteration, I mean it sounds cool, right? and 2) because Friday's are probably my most varied days diet wise.
If you follow me on Instagram (Username: BritishRandomness) then you'll know how much I love healthy eating, I am always Instagraming my food (which I will still be doing) but I wanted to share with you all my diet in a bit more detail.

For my breakfast I had the Tone It Up protein pancakes, but I didn't use the Perfect fit protein, because the shipping to the UK is ridiculously expensive, so instead I used a different one that I can't remember the name of. I will find out and edit this bit a bit later on.

The for my lunch I was hungry and almost forgot to take a picture (oops) Anyway I had a Sour and Chive New York bagel with a light cheese spread from Asda. This is the first time I have tried a bagel, and ohmyword, these are amazing! I also have the wholegrain ones too, and once I have tried them out I'll let you know what I think (most likely on Instagram)

A bit later on I got a bit hungry and wasn't sure when we would be having tea so I grabbed a pear and an apple. I ended up not eating the pear, because it wasn't ripe enough. You know the texture you get in your mouth after eating a still green banana? Well it was like that but 5x worse, I just couldn't finish it. But it was ok, because not long later my mum told me to start preparing my tea.

Every Friday we have pizza, but because I am all about clean healthy eating, I made the flourless pizza from blogilates, and then had 2 slices of garlic bread because everything is ok in moderation. I'm not someone who likes topping on their pizza, I mostly like the sauce, so there is almost half a jar of tomato and garlic pasta/pizza sauce on my pizza with a little bit of light mozzarella. I like this pizza, but the base definitely is not pizza tasting. You can't cut it into slices like you can with a normal pizza, it just doesn't stick and I have made this 3 times, having the same results each time. But if you slather it in toppings, then it's gorgeous. Actually I think it's gorgeous anyway, so I do recommend you try it out.

On a Friday we tend to watch a movie, so we have cookies, and some cake, and I also like to try out a healthy recipe for a cake I have found. This week I re-tried a recipe that I tried last week, but modified it. The recipe is the Beetroot chocolate fudge cake from the Cook Yourself Thin recipe book. I didn't like it with the beetroot so took that out this week, I also didn't add the coffee because my mum can't have coffee, or make the topping. I liked this, I do recommend you try it out. If you try it without any modifications let me know how you liked it? And if you did modify it, how, and how did it work out for you?

I  didn't eat anything else. Looking back on this it doesn't look like I ate much, but I just wasn't that hungry today, which is strange because I am always hungry. Maybe next week I'll have eaten more

What did you guys think of this post? Did you like it?  Do you think it's a worthwhile post? I always love getting feedback from you guys, because you are the ones reading these, so I want to make sure you like what you're reading.

P.S. This is supposed to be posted on a Friday night, but as I was writing it, my laptop switched itself off, and is kinda slow to load back up; so I am very sorry that this is late, hopefully  it won't happen again. I do have a post planned for today, so check back later for that. Also follow me on Bloglovin' to keep updated. This was a really long P.S., I'm sorry.

Kim's book corner - The Perks of being a Wallflower

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

Today I have a book review for you all. I have a feeling you will be getting reviews quite often for a while, as I am reading like crazy, and I actually have another review to film either tonight or tomorrow, which you will get on Friday.

May empties

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

First of all I just want to apologise for this being so late, I've had exams so obviously revision comes before blogging. But I am done now, so I am sharing my empties from May :)

Listerine stay white mouthwash, Garnier mineral fresh 48 hour deodorant, How to look good naked Eau De Toilette, Clearasil ultra overnight wash, Doublebase gel, Asda protect disposable flossers, Spiced vanilla soap by Arran Aromatics, Time to unwind body soak with extracts of orange, Skin system cosmetic cotton wool pads, Yankee candle in River Valley, Mamia baby wipes.

My thoughts on each product:

Listerine stay white mouthwash: I love this, I'm on my 4th bottle of this because it is so good. My teeth are brighter, and my breath feels so fresh. I can't recommend it.
Garnier mineral fresh 48 hour deodorant: This is alright, I'm not sure if it works for 48 hours, but it's a deodorant, it stops me sweating, what more can I say?
How to look good naked Eau De Toilette: I love this, it is very musky, which I think is perfect for night time, if you're going out dancing because it lasts and smells amazing.
Clearasil ultra overnight wash: I love this, I really wish this range hadn't been discontinued because it really worked for my skin, helping to keep the acne away.
Doublebase gel: I was prescribed this for my dry skin, because it gets ridiculously dry during the winter. I loved this, a little but goes such a long way. You don't need to get this, E45 works just as well, which I've bought to replace this.
Asda protect disposable flossers: I love to use disposable flossers, they are so much easier to use than the floss you have to cut to length. I am way into oral hygiene right now, and trying different floss, so there will be a new one next month.
Spiced vanilla soap: This is so amazing! It is such a huge bar, but it's really difficult to cut into usable sizes, but it lasts for so long, and is so moisturising. And not to mention how good it smells!
Time to unwind body soak: This was bath salts, which I'm not really a fan of, but it does smell so good. It came in a set with body lotion, shower gel, and a candle, and I have to say that I adore them, they just smell so good.
Skin system cosmetic cotton pads: These are cotton pads, what more can I say. I use them to apply my toner and wash my face at night. Nothing more to say on that.
Yankee candle in River valley: This smells so fresh, and reminds me of natural, which it should, considering its name.
Mamia baby wipes: This is another essential, that doesn't really have much to say about. I use baby wipes to remove my make-up and/or sunscreen before washing my face.

That's all I have to say today. What products have you used up recently? Let me know in the comments below.

Kim's book corner - At first sight

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

Today I am sharing with you all a review on a book I finished a couple of weeks ago, but never got around to filming.

I hope you all enjoyed this. Also please ignore my horrible skin, for some reason it's being really dry right now, and I'm trying really hard to fix it by not wearing make-up.
