Haul - Primark, Superdrug and more

Hey girls, sorry I haven't posted anything this week, I've been pretty lazy. But to make up for it, I am sharing with you all a few things I bought today.

First I went to Primark and I got: A creamy peachy blazer, which I think will go gorgeous with a white dress I have, then I got a plaid t-shirt, but unfortunately it is too small, so I have to take it back. Then I got the second best purchase of the day, and it is a hot water bottle for your feet! I looks like a cushion, and you slip your feet into it, and on the bottom is a hot water bottle! How amazing is that?! I always have cold feet so this is perfect for me. Then I just picked up a belt, because mine is falling apart.

Then off I went to Superdrug and finally picked up a full size Maybelline BB Cream, and Collection 200 Pump it up mascara because I was in need of a new mascara. I got So...? Brit body spray which smells amazing, a foot cream, cough mixture because I have a cough I want to get rid off, and last but not least I got some mouth wash because it was on offer (2 for £4, 1 for £3.29) and also for a Pinterest try, I've been meaning to do for a while.

Then, because Superdrug didn't have any, I popped into Boots and picked up some toner because I am almost completely out.

I also finally got my eyebrows waxed. They were so overdue and were starting to drive me insane.

Then on the way home I bought some Savlon because I was out and needed some for the best purchase of the day, which was....

Isn't it beautiful? I really wanted a new tattoo, ever since I got my last tattoo, and wanted believe on my wrist for a few months, but I couldn't decide on a font, until I saw it on Pinterest about 2 months ago. It hurt so much more than my last one, but it was worth it, completely, 100% worth it.

Well that's all for today, I hope you enjoyed this post. Have you made any purchases recently? Let me know what you got in the comments below.

Talk to you all soon.

Tag: You're it!

The other day the lovely  http://mystringaling.blogspot.co.uk/ tagged me in the 'tag you're it' tag.

The rules are:
- Every tagged person has to tell 11 things about themselves
- The person who has tagged you asked 11 questions, answer them
- Ask 11 questions for the 11 blogs you're going to tag
- Mention the blog that tagged you but don't tag back

11 things about me:

  1. I am obsessed with Owls. For my 18th birthday my parents adopted me an owl, I have owl candles, owl oven mitts, tea towel, paper, I just love them so much, and love that I have my own owl. If only I could have it in my house
  2. The first time I ever burnt a candle, I just burnt a hole right through the middle because I was so paranoid about leaving it to burn unattended that I would blow it out if I wasn't going to be in the room for more then 1 minute, so even if I was going to make lunch, I would blow the candle out.
  3. I say I love anything mythical, but I don't actually know anything about it, I just like how they look. So don't ask me about Greek mythology, because I have no idea, although I do want to learn about it
  4. My favourite teacher at school actually never taught me, he taught my friends, and I sat in there class a lot when I had a free period.
  5. I love quotes. I have a whole wall dedicated to them, and I know that my house will be covered with them.
  6. I love nothing better than lazy days in my pyjamas watching movies, or reading books with lots of food
  7. I was in major denial that I am a nerd until the summer, when my friends finally convinced me that, yes, I am a nerd
  8. received an awesome Harry Potter stop watch necklace at Christmas, but I have no idea who it's from.]
  9. I really want to re-organise my room right now, but it's too late to do anything like that right now :(
  10. I have recently started sleeping with a teddy bear again. It used just when I was really ill, but I think that I was really ill for so long that it became a habit.
  11. I am really bad at exams! The only reason I managed any course I've ever done is because of coursework, I get really nervous and forget everything! Especially quotes I needed when I was doing literature.

Mystringaling's questions for me:
1. What's your favourite foundation? Probably Revlon Colourstay. It was the first foundation I had found that matched my skin tone, had long lasting power, and really good coverage.
2. What camera do you use to take the photos for your blog? I actually use my phone a lot of the time, which has an 8 megapixel camera. If I'm not using that I will use my Sanyo VPC-CG10EBK Dual High Definition Video Camcorder & Photo Camera, which I really like, but sometimes I'm just too lazy to get it out :-P
3. What do you spend the most money on: make-up, your hair, clothes, shoes, or accessories? This is difficult because it's actually none of those, I spend the most money on skincare, but if I had to choose from those, I guess I'd have to say clothes, although you wouldn't think it from my wardrobe :-P
4. What's your favourite blog to read & why? I love reading lifestyle blogs because I feel like they are relatable and have a lot of variety. I also live vicariously through them
5. Where's your favourite place that you've ever visited on holiday & why? Probably London, even though I live in the UK, and I was only there for the weekend, I just loved it so much. I want to go for longer and go sight seeing, and take in the London culture, cause I love doing things like that. I used to do it occasionally with Chester, cause I live pretty close to it.
6. Do you own a designer handbag? No, but I love to own a Louis Vutton speedy, or any Chanel bag
7. Have you ever had a haircut disaster? Yes! I was on holiday when I was really young, and came back with a bowl cut, now this wasn't an at-home job, no it was done professionally, which I think just makes it worse
8. What's your favourite beauty product? Make-up remover. I love playing around with make-up but taking it off at the end of the day, just feels so good. I don't know about you, but my eye make-up always feels so heavy by the end of the day, and I can't wait to take it off.
9. If you won the lottery what's the first thing you'd buy? A mansion with a library like the one in Beauty and the Beast, a walk-in wardrobe, huge en-suite bathroom with a stand alone tub, and a huge balcony
10. Who is your style idol & why? J.K. Rowling because her style is so classic
11. What is your most important New Year's resolution? Get a job and move out of my parents house, just because I feel like it's time to. I won't move far from them, and I'll visit all the time, but it's time I had my own place.

My 11 questions:

  1. Mascara, concealer, or lipbalm/gloss/stick?
  2. What is your favourite perfume, and why?
  3. What's your favourite book you've read in the last year?
  4. What was the last movie you watched?
  5. What do you enjoy most about blogging?
  6. What house do YOU think you would be in in Hogwarts, and why?
  7. Be truthful, how rigorous are you about taking your make-up off at night?
  8. What is your favourite genre of music?
  9. Do your family or friends know you blog, if so how did they react?
  10. What is your most prized possession?
  11. What calendar did you get for this year?
Think those questions up was more difficult than I thought it was going to be haha

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

Today I thought I would do the 'Tag you're it' tag from ElleandBlair, so I hope you enjoy.

  1. What was the most exciting thing that happened to you in 2012? Definitely getting into university. I woke up really early, but had it wasn't until an hour later that I managed to find out, and when I did I ran upstairs to my parents room, screaming that I got in. I even cried! I never cry at things like that. Best day of my life!
  2. What was your favourite video you filmed this year? Well I guess my favourite videos I film are for my collabchannel, although I do enjoy filming my book reviews. My favourite post would probably be my Life's little pleasures just because it reminded me of what I really enjoy to do to relax after a stressful day
  3. Best YouTube video of 2012? Hmmm this one is difficult, I don't really watch the 'viral' videos, so I think I'll just tell you about a beauty guru I discovered this year, who's Vlog channel I love! And that is BritPopLife, her Vlogs are hilarious! I also discovered DiamondandHeels14 this year too, and I LOVE her!
  4. What was your favourite new product in 2012? This will sound stupid because I still haven't actually bought this product, I've only used the samples I sent off for, and that is Maybelline's BB cream. I did a review on this so click here if you want my thoughts on it.
  5. What new thing are you glad you tried in 2012? Speaking in front of about 65 people during my churches Girls night in at the beginning of the year was a great experience, I'm still not confident about speaking in front of people, but I am so glad I managed to do it.
  6.  What's the most important lesson you learned in 2012? That God has a plan for me, and not to worry so much. Easier said than done, I know, and I still worry about my future but I'm learning.
  7. What was the best movie of 2012? I can only think of 2 movies I went to see last year and that was The Avengers and Magic Mike, and I loved both for different reasons, but I'd have to say that The Avengers was definitely the best, everything about it was amazing! Although Magic Mike was about hot, naked guys, and that was pretty good too ;-P
  8. Best song? I don't want to admit it, but Call me Maybe, I always seem to have it in my head! Kind of drives me insane to be honest, but it's so catchy, you have to admit it's a good song.
  9. Best TV show? Now this is difficult! Maybe Once Upon a Time, I'd say Revenge, but I didn't start watching it until the end of the year, and I adored Once Upon a Time, and cannot wait until the new season starts, whenever that is.
  10. What one product do you hope someone releases in 2013? I'd love a full coverage foundation for super pale skin that doesn't let natural blush show through. I am really pale (I almost have a ginger persons skin tone) and my face heats up and goes beetroot red a lot, mostly when I have to speak in front of people, and the thought of that makes it worse, so a foundation that hides that really well would be perfect.
Well that's all. Please feel free to do this tag and leave the link in the comments.

My brother does an OOTD

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

I got my brother to film an OOTD on New Years Eve, because he kept going on about how much he loved what he was wearing, so I thought that I would share it with you all

I hope you enjoyed it, it was done in one take, and it was really fun to film. The only problem was with the lighting, my lighting at night is always a nightmare.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! and my New Years Resolutions

Hey girls, I hope you're all well, and had a wonderful night last night, and aren't suffering too much today :-P

What did you all get up to last night? I personally just had a chilled out night at home with my family, watching movies, and having a few drinks; then watched the countdown on BBC. It was a nice night, and I personally would rather stay inside than go out ha-ha.

I thought that I would share with you all my New Years Resolutions, because that's what we do in the internet world, we share everything.

  1. Be healthier. I know this is everyone's, and I know I did this last year too, but I want to be even healthier, by drinking more water, and eating less processed foods. Now that's not to say that I'm not allowing myself to eat anything processed (We have a cheesecake for dessert tonight) it just means I'll be eating more fresh fruit and vegetables, and home-made meals.
  2. Be more eco-friendly. I think the whole 'end-of-the-world' thing really got to me because I know that we are destroying the world, so I decided I want to do what I can to stop it. I already recycle, but not properly, for example, I didn't know they chucked out any bottles with lids on because they are of a different plastic, so I want to make more of an effort with that. And I've also been thinking of starting a compost bin, although I have no idea how to go about it.
  3. Take more pictures. Now by this I don't mean Instagram style pictures of food and such, but memory style pictures, because I definitely don't have enough of those
  4. Get a job, then move out of my parents house. I quit my job in the summer, thinking I was moving away, and wanted a few months break without working because I'd been working since I was 15, but I still haven't found another one, but I have become more determined now, because I want to move out of my parents house, and I can't do that with just my student loan.
  5. Organise my time better. I want to make sure I stop leaving things until the last minute because I have become obsessed with a TV show, or a book. So to stop that, I'm going to schedule my TV/book time, so my essays are done and I can watch/read non-stop without feeling guilty
That is all of my resolutions for this year, what are yours?

If you've been following my blog for a while, you'll know I updated you all each month throughout last year, and it kept me motivated, meaning I didn't break them until October/November, which is amazing. So I plan on doing that again this year, and it may keep you guys motivated too.

I hope that 2012 was an amazing year, and that 2013 will be even better.

Have a beautiful day
