Blogmas day 24. IT'S CHRISTMAS EVE

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

Eepp! It's Christmas eve! Are you all ready for Santa to come and deliver your Christmas presents? Have you all been good? I know I have :-P

I'm gonna be honest and say that I wasn't feeling particularly festive for most of the day. In fact, I wanted to cry! It was horrible, I was just cleaning my room, trying to send a video to be uploaded on my collab channel, and my room just seemed to be getting messier and the video wouldn't send, so I just broke down. That was not fun, at all! But then my dad gave me an awesome Christmas card. It's a cat in a stocking, and you have to pull the cat out to read the card, and when you do that it starts meowing! How amazing is that?! I love it so much! We then went and got a take-away, because my mum refuses to cook on Christmas eve, so they had a KFC and I had a Subway, I also got a mint areo krushem which was so yummy! Like you HAVE to try it. So good. Then church, obviously. And, of course, that was so good! Even my dad and brother came, and they are Atheists! My brother said he got bored, but he gets bored easily :-P

Did you guys watch The Snowman and the snowdog? How cute was it? I loved what happened to the dog! Sorry, I'm trying to not give away any spoilers, just in case any of you haven't watched it yet, and maybe saving it until tomorrow night. I have a problem with the end of The Snowman (I'm guessing I'm not giving any spoilers away, because it is so old, sorry if I am) Right you know how the Snowman melts at the end? Yeah, well, I don't understand how. I mean there is still snow all over the ground, so why does he melt? I would maybe get it if all the snow melted away and not just the snowman, but nope still deep snow on the ground, so it makes no sense to me at all. Does anyone get it? If you do please tell me, cause I just don't get it.

Ohmygosh guys you have to watch this video, it is so cute!

How freakin' cute is that? I'm not even a fan of dogs, but I want her! She is just adorable! All I could say was 'Aww' for a long time. It was not a short aww, it was a very long aww. Not ashamed

I am getting sleepy, but I want to read, because I still haven't finished my last Christmas book. What should I do? I know, I just read until I start to fall asleep.

Here are 2 more advent chocolates for you all to have a guess at. There is still one more, so make sure you check back tomorrow for it.

Right it is 20 to midnight, and if I don't get to bed Santa won't come. I will post tomorrow, but I know most of you probably won't read it until Boxing Day, so I'm gonna say it right now, have an amazing Christmas everyone. I love you all.

Have a beautiful day

Blogmas day 23

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

This post may be a few minutes late because 1) I can't find my USB cable, and 2) I've been watching a lot of 2 Broke Girls, I'm almost caught up on the new series! :D I've been watching it so much that I'm starting to act like Caroline and speak like Max. It always happens when I watch a lot of the same show, please tell me I'm not the only one that this happens to.

Today I want to talk about how disappointed I am with the people where I live.
Me and my family went driving around looking at all the Christmas lights people had put up, and let me tell you, we only found 1 house that looked amazing. Even the churches and pubs weren't decorated. Nor the rich peoples houses. I mean, what is with people? It is Christmas, I want to see decorations! Most houses didn't even have a tree! How disappointing is that? I feel like there isn't enough Christmas spirit here. I mean, I'm surrounded by Christmas spirit online, but not enough in real life. I get that we're in a recession but all everyone seems to be thinking about is the food and presents, but decorations are important too :-P

Ok I know that this is really short, but it's taken me half an hour to write because I keep switching back to 2 Broke Girls. I'm sorry, but I promise that tomorrow's post will be amazing! Know idea what I am writing yet, but I'll think of something really awesome, seeing as it is Christmas eve tomorrow! Oh yeah! I'm excited! :-D

Oh and I still can't find my USB cable :( I've been really bad at this, sorry, again.

Blogmas day 22

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

I cannot believe it is the 22nd already! Where has this month gone? I've been on holiday for a week and I haven't started any of my assignments yet, which is crazy! I should probably get started on those soon haha.

Ok so I'm gonna be honest here and just tell you I have nothing interesting to write, and my wrist aches, so it's making it hard to type. My day consisted of, watching 2 Broke Girls, going and buying a few last minute Christmas stuff, which was crazy! All the shops were super busy! Then I watched more 2 Broke Girls, had some food, watched Santa Clause 3, then had a shower, watched Four Christmases, got into bed, watched more 2 Broke Girls, and now I'm writing this, 10 minutes before midnight. I'm so, super productive! I did feel a couple of my presents today, and accidentally poked a hole into one of them. Luckily you can't see what it is. I like feeling my presents and trying to guess what it is, but to actually see it would ruin it for me, because I like the surprise. It's just fun trying to work it out. I worked out I have 2 paper back books, and I have no idea what they are. I might know one, because I asked for it, but I've no clue what the other one is, I am so excited to find out though! My presents are wrapped in the cutest wrapping paper, I'll take a picture on Christmas morning and show you guys.

I might spend tomorrow doing assignments to try and get them out of the way, I mean if I could at least start the first one that would be good. Ah who am I kidding? We all know I'm gonna be watching 2 Broke Girls, because we all know once I get obsessed with a TV show, I don't do anything, but watch the TV show until I've watched every single episode. It's just who I am people, it's just who I am.

I should go before this is late.

Blogmas day 21. The 10 day 'you' challenge

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

Well it is 20 past 10 at night and the world is still going strong, so I feel very stupid for feeling so nervous last night haha

I wanted to do another 10 day 'you' challenge today, seeing as I've only done one so far.

  1. My family. I know this one is predictable but, it's true, I love my family
  2. God. As you all know I am a Christian, so this one is probably another predictable one, but He means so much to me, and am so glad I found Him
  3. Harry Potter. We all know I'm a huge Potterhead, I'm not gonna try and deny it
  4. Christmas. Christmas is my favourite time of the year, with all the cheer and the lights and the beauty. What I don't like is how stressy everyone gets
  5. Cats and owls. They are my favourite animals and I would love to adopt a kitten. I do have an owl, which my parents adopted for me for my 18th :)
  6. Food. I love food so much! Surprisingly I am kinda fussy, but what I do enjoy, I LOVE!
  7. YouTube. I've been obsessed with YouTube for about 3 years now, and I'm always watching videos on there. I'm actually subscribed to 231 people and watch pretty much all of them, which is just crazy
  8. Blogging. I've been blogging for 2/3 years now, and I've been doing this blog for just over a year now and I think it is amazing. I may not have a huge amount of followers but I love each and every one of you. It means so much to me when people take time to read my posts and comment. This is such a fun thing to do, and if you don't write your own blog, I completely recommend that you do.
  9. Sleep. I'm very tired right now, which is why this is on here, plus who doesn't like sleep?
Right I have a headache so I'm just going to leave you all with yesterdays and today's advent chocolates. I'm still waiting for your prize to arrive so I'm going to keep the contest open until the end of the month.

Blogmas day 20.

Hey girls, I hope you're all well. I'm writing this from my phone tonight, because I left my laptop in my room, where my parents are sleeping (long story) and I didn't want to miss another day. My day hasn't been too exciting, we just went and bought food for Christmas day, and say around watching E 4 and eating. So overall a good day, haha. We just finished watching Santa clause 2 which, as you all know, I love. I still find it hilarious! I think we're gonna have to watch the third one tomorrow night, so we've watched all 3 before Christmas. Well that's if we don't all die haha. I was glad to see that I'm not the only one who thinks it's ridiculous, but is still a little bit worried. On the news at 7 tonight it had a countdown to it, which is kinda scary. It showed that the apocalypse will happen at 11am GMT, so I might just try and sleep through it haha. I've got the sick, nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach right now, but I feel ridiculous. Maybe I should stop talking about it haha. I just realized I haven't my advent chocolate yet! But I feel too sick to go and get it, plus I'm kinda comfy on my sofa. Yes I am lazy haha. I feel like I've said haha a lot in this post, that is probably rather annoying, I'm sorry about that. Something else I feel I may need to apologise for is any very bad spelling mistakes, writing this from my phone is kinda hard, it doesn't let me see everything I'm writing, and I have my predict on. I should probably go, I'm about to start one Christmas night, which I thought I would've finished by now Have a beautiful day Dream beautiful dreams;live beautiful lives Xx Days until Christmas: 5 What I am listening to/watching right now: nothing but I do have stupid stupid in my head Christmas song of the day: all I want for Christmas is you.

Blogmas day 19

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

I feel like I've been so productive today, well after I finally got out of bed. I made some Christmas scones, they're just scones in Christmas shapes. However they didn't turn out so well, because the bottoms kept burning. I have absolutely no idea why, I mean I greased the baking tray really well, so it makes no sense why it kept happening. So I'm just gonna have to go buy a box chocolates for the people the scones were meant to be for.

Oh I only have 10 minutes left before this post is late! AAAAHHHHH!!!! I just got back from a Christmas quiz with a couple of friends. We came in 5th which was pretty good seeing as we thought we did really bad, and most of the teams had 8 or more members and there was only 3 of us. But even though we didn't win anything, it was still really fun. We also exchanged presents which I obviously loved, I mean who doesn't like getting presents, right? My friend made me a Felix Felicis necklace, which is amazing! I love it so much, it's so glittery and beautiful. I think I may have to wear it forever!!

I'm pretty much all packed for leaving on Friday, just got my daily used stuff left to put in my case, and the shoes I'm gonna wear on Christmas day, it's just deciding which pair.
Ok, what is everyone's thoughts on the world ending? I think it's stupid, but a small, getting bigger, part of me is a bit scared. I think I'm only scared because I'm travelling on that day, so I'm not with  anyone I love, I keep wishing I'd booked my ticket for tomorrow instead. But then another part of me is like, 'Kim, you are being stupid. The world is not going to end, you will get there safely' I mean I don't think the world will end, but apparently it's just the end of the world as we know it, so I'm a bit like, 'well what does that mean?' You know what I mean? And now as I write this, I'm thinking that I'm scared about the journey, because I have to switch twice, and the first switch I have to do, I have to leave the coach station, and I have no sense of direction, so I'm scared I'm gonna get lost. I'm also scared of getting onto the wrong coach, like in 'Getting there' and that terrifies me. Yeah that's definitely what I'm scared about, not the world ending.

Ooh I have to go before this is late. My phone is on charge so my chocolate will have to be posted tomorrow. Sorry about that.

Blogmas day 16. Whoops

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

Wow I am not doing so good with this years Blogmas posts. I keep missing days randomly. Last night was simply just because I may have gotten a little bit drunk. I had a couple of friends round who I hadn't seen in a while and we had a few drinks and played a couple of Harry Potter games, so that was fun.

I wasn't able to post anything during the day, because I woke up with a terrible headache, so stayed in bed until 11, then I had some cleaning to do before going to get a haircut. I'd insert a picture but I don't have one ha-ha. I then made some sugar cookies, right before my friends arrived, so my day was kinda full packed. I'm gonna make some more cookies today, once I've cleaned up the mess we made last night ha-ha. I don't want to say too much about today's plans because then I won't have anything to say later ha-ha.

You know what I haven't done in what feels like ages, read! I wanted to have my book read before I leave on Friday, but I'm not sure anymore because I haven't even started. Oh well, I have a long coach journey on Friday where I will read it. I'll bring a second book on the coach with me in case I finish it, because it's quite a quick read.

And now before I go and get out of my bed I will leave you with yesterdays advent chocolate. BTW I'm about to order your prize! Hopefully it will arrive on time for you all.

Speak to you all later.

Blogmas day 17. Holly Jolly holiday tag

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

I cannot believe it is the 17th already! It's just crazy! Anyway today I wanted to do the second Holly Jolly holiday tag. I did the first one last year, so here it is

1. Do you start your Christmas shopping on Black Friday or wait until the last minute?
Well I don't live in the UK, so I don't have a Black Friday, but I definitely don't leave my shopping until the last minute, that stresses me out too much. I tend to be done by early December
2. If you could be in any Christmas movie what would it be?
Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, I would be his friend, unlike the girl he ends up with who is scared to be his friend
3. Which do you like better: Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
Can I say Boxing day? That's my favourite day, if you read my Blogmas posts last year you'll already know that
4. When does your family put up your Christmas tree and who decorates it?
My mum always puts the tree up on the 30th November, and she never lets anyone help, which is kind of annoying, as I always want to help. It's definitely something I'll do with my kids
5. White lights or coloured lights?
COLOURED all the way! White is so boring, I like to have a colourful tree
6. Are you guilty of peeking at your presents or do you like the surprise?
I'm really good and don't peek, I only ever feel them, but that's ok cause my mum does it too :-P I did peek once, when I was about 12, and I felt so guilty, luckily it was only one present though ha-ha
7. Would you rather live in a gingerbread house or in Santa's Workshop?
Santa's workshop! I mean I'd love to be an elf working for Santa. I don't understand why some people seem to think it will be noisy and you won't be able to sleep, I imagine it to be fun and just like a regular job except 7 days a week and you love it.
8. Tell us your Christmas Eve traditions!
Well my mum cleans the entire house, and we get fresh bedding put on our beds, then at night we shower, put on brand new pjs and watch a movie whilst having a take-away. Although last year we went to church and we plan on doing that again this year, which I am excited for because this year it's 'midnight' mass, at 11pm in a catherdral, and apparently it's a beautiful cathedral.
9. If you could be under the mistletoe with anyone who would it be?
Can I say John Barrowman, even though he is gay and married? I'm sure I could change that :-P
10. What tops your tree?
An angel my mum has had her entire life and will passed down to me when I have kids. It looks a bit creepy now because it is so old, but we love it anyway
11. Can you name the 12 days of Christmas?
12 lady's dancing, 11 lords a leaping, 10 drummers drumming, 9 maids a milking, 7 swans a swimming, 6 geese a laying, 5 GOLD RINGS, 4 calling birds, 3 French hens, 2 turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear tree. Yes I did it! I'm so proud of myself
12. Have you ever gone Christmas carolling?
No, I cannot sing, it would terrible for everyone if I went carolling
13. Do you countdown to Christmas? If so, how many days are left?
Yes and there are 8 days left!
14. What are some foods and treats you can count on having every holiday season?
I know it's now Christmassy, but I only ever have it at Christmas, and it is trifle, it is so yummy
15. How has Christmas kept its magic for you as you've grown older?
I don't know, I just always got excited about it. I think it helped that my brother believed in Santa Clause until he was 15, and he's only 2 years younger than me, so I guess keeping that spirit going for him, until I was 17 helped a lot. I think believing in Santa helps, because I still believe and it definitely keeps the spirit for me. Also being a Christian helps too, because you've got the main thing of Christmas to keep you going

Well that's all for today, I hope you enjoyed this post. If you do the tag leave the link below and I'll be sure to read it and comment :)

Blogmas day 14

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

This is just going to be a short post, because I've not long got in from uni, and am heading back out over to my mums for the weekend in about 10 minutes.

I am officially on my Christmas holidays! And guess what that means? Next week will be FULL of Christmas activities, meaning that my Blogmas posts are going to get a lot more Christmassy :)

I do have assignments to do though, so that isn't very exciting but I'm hoping I could spend a maximum of 2 hours a day on it for 3 weeks :-P

I have no idea what to talk about, I thought about doing a tag post, but they sometimes take a while to write, so I'll do that tomorrow, if I get a chance to write anything. My dad is coming up tonight for the weekend, so I'll be spending a lot of time with him, so I'll apologise in advance if I can't write anything tomorrow. I might actually write a post from my phone, just so I don't have to take my laptop over there.

Right, I just realized that I have forgotten to pack my toothbrush, so I'm gonna go and get that, then get a wriggle on. Hopefully I'll talk to you all tomorrow, if not I'll talk to you all on Sunday.

I also made 2 Christmas presents, which I am super excited about. Now all I have to do is wrap and make 2 more presents. I am super excited to get all that done :) Now I'm going to write my ending whilst my video finishes uploading :)

Blogmas day 12. An apology and randomness

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

I'm sorry I didn't write anything last night, time just seemed to get away from me, which almost happened again today. I planned on filming my review on A winter flame, but didn't get a chance, but hopefully I'll be able to film and upload that tomorrow. I would like to get it up before I finish my next book, which I'm almost half way through already! I bet you as soon as I get my 'A winter flame' review up I'll be filming my next review ha-ha. I'm not going to tell you which book it is tonight, you'll just have to wait until you see the review :-P

I actually did something Christmassy today, I went to my churches salvation army Christmas carol! It was so good and definitely got me even more in the Christmassy mood. You know what else is getting me in the Christmassy mood? The frost that is everywhere right now! I know that snow is the stereotypical view of Christmas, but I think the frost makes everything look so magical and Christmassy, especially because it is so glittery. Wow how many times can I say Christmassy in one paragraph ha-ha.

I don't really know what else to say, so I'm going to leave you with the past 2 advent chocolates. Oh and speaking of which, I plan on getting the prize early next week, so look out for that.

Now I'm off to get into my nice and cosy bed. Night everyone

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

Wow! I can't believe we're in double figures already! Christmas is going to be here very soon. I have no idea what to write tonight so I'm gonna do a currently post.

Listening: To Capital FM

Eating: Sainsburys own doritos in cool, my favourite flavour

Drinking: Water. Crisps always make me really thirsty

Wearing: My cosiest pjs and my dressing gown :-)

Feeling: Very sleepy, I am definitely looking forward to my bed tonight

Wanting: For this week to be over so I can start my Christmas holidays. Plus I have an assigment due in tomorrow :(

Needing: To start making my Christmas presents so that I have time to fix any mistakes I am bound to make

Thinking: That Tiny Tower is a ridiculous way to spend my time, and yet I can't stop

Enjoying: Not being cold for once. I'm nice and cosy for a change

That's all for today, I hope you enjoyed. What are you currently doing?

And today's advent chocolate is?

Blogmas day 9. For the love of winter *TAG*

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

I feel like I may be repeating myself a lot, but it's been yet another unexciting day for me. I didn't get dressed until quarter to 4 and was back in my pjs by half 5. I've read about half my book, which means that my review should be up for Wednesday night. I just have to decide on which book to read next, I have 2 more Christmas books, a Mills and Boon one and A Christmas Carol, then I have a Sophie King book that I want to read. Which one do you think I should read next? I'd love to know which one you think I should read. To be honest I'll probably stick with the Christmas books, it's just deciding which one.

Anyway enough of the introduction, I'm going to get on with the tag I found today when I was browsing the ElleandBlair.com forum: For the love of winter.

1. What is your favourite thing about winter?
If I'm being honest it's probably the fact that I have an excuse to stay in my pjs, drink tea, light a candle and read a good book/watch a good movie.
2. What is your least favourite thing about winter?
The freezing temperatures. I don't hate this all the time, just when I'm having to wait for a bus out in it, that's probably the worst thing about winter for me/not having a car.
3. What are your favourite skin care item for the colder months?
A rich body butter. I get horrible dry skin in winter so a great hydrating body butter is a must for me. I'm currently using Superdrug's Vitamin E body butter
4. What is your favourite travel size hand cream?
I don't actually have a travel sized hand cream, I just carry around a full sized one. The one I am currently using an Avon one which you can no longer buy
5. What is your favourite eye shadow/lip colour for the winter months?
I love a neutral eye with a deep red lip. It's just so pretty for right now
6. What is your favourite hair care product for the winter months?
Lots and lots of conditioner. It doesn't matter the brand I just slather it on, let it soak in and rinse. Sometimes I leave it on overnight which works like a conditioning mask, but much cheaper
7. Boots: Thigh high, knee high, mid calf, flat, or booties?
Flat knee high boots. Because I walk a lot I don't particularly like to wear heeled boots, so flats are definitely what I go for.
8. Layering: Cardigains, blazers, or pull over sweaters/jumpers?
Jumpers definitely, I've fallen in love with them this year. Although I do still love my good old hoodies and cardigains.
9. Acessories: Hats, scarves, or gloves?
All three, but I think if I HAD to choose it would be scarves. I definitely have more scarves
10. Dress or pants/trousers?
Trousers! Why would you choose a dress in winter? It's cold, and you can get away without shaving your legs.
11. What is your favourite winter holiday?
Well in Britain we don't really have many holidays, but I think that even without that, I would still say Christmas! I love all the cheer around Christmas.
12. What is your favourite hot drink during the winter?
I think I would have to say hot chocolate, simply because I drink tea and coffee all year round.
13. What is your favourite Christmas movie?
I've said this so many times, and I think this question is probably in a lot of tags I'm going to be doing, so I'm sorry for my repetativness if you are a regular reader, but I have to say that it is Santa Claus the movie (the Tim Allen one)
14. Would you rather attend a Christmas party or a New Years eve party?
Christmas party. I feel like New Years is just an excuse to party, and there would definitely be too many people for me, unlike a Christmas party.
15. Would you rather toast marshmallows inside or at a bonfire?
Inside, imagine the house being filled with the smell of toasted marshmallows? Yum!
16. Would you rather go to New York or Miami?
I would love to go to New York for Christmas. The movies always make it look so magical
17. Would you rather bring the new year in partying at a club with friends, spending quality time at home with family watching the ball drop, at church praising God for blessing you to see another year, or having dinner with family and friends?
Can I combine a few of them? I'd rather go to church and praise God, then have dinner with my family and bring in the new year that way.
18. Would you rather make a New Years resolution, or focus on something else?
Definitely make resolutions! If you have followed my blog all year you'll know that I made a few resolutions and updated you all throughout the year, and I plan on doing that again :-P
19. Would you rather go snowboarding, skiing, ice skating, or have a snowball fight?
I don't actually know, I guess have a snowball fight, simply because I have no balance meaning I can't actually do the other 3 without falling over constantly.
20. Tell me your favourite winter memory
I don't actually have any winter memories, I have Christmas memories though if that counts? They are mostly just spending time with my family

Wow that's a long tag! I'm sorry if it was too long, but I would love it if you did this too. If you do leave it in the comments and I'll pop over and read it.

And last but not least, here is today's advent chocolate.

As always good luck to you all.

Blogmas day 8.

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

Assigments are going to kill me. I spent the morning working on an assigment which is due in on Tuesday, and it has driven me insane. I have 2 to do over my Christmas holidays too, so that's gonna be fun :-P I've managed to write all 1500 words for my essay, now it is just time to edit and add my refrences. I feel so Christmassy :-P

Speaking of Christmas, I'm excited to start making my gifts. I wasn't allowing myself to do them until my essay was handed in. It is so hard stopping myself making and wrapping my presents, but on Wednesday I'll sit down with all my materials and get on with it. It has to be done soon, because I'm exchanging them with my friends in just over a week. I've never made gifts before so I'm extra excited to do it. It should be interesting though, because there is some sewing involved and I am not the best sewer in the world. Oh well it's all about the thought and effort isn't it? ha-ha

I changed my computer wallpaper today, and now it's all Christmassy.

Do you like it? I do :) I'd love to go to London during Christmas and when it's snowing. I feel like everywhere in Britain but where I live is getting snow. We rarely get snow and when we do it's not really worth it. I always get excited when we get snow though, I'm always so expectant. I'm such a big kid haha.

I'm sorry, this post isn't very good. There is no thought in it, I just wanted to sit down and write for you guys, even though I had no idea what I wanted to write. I'm in the mood to read but I'm so tired I can't seem to get into it, which sucks because I'm reading A winter flame. Oh well I'll probably wake up when I get to bed and read it then.

Right this post isn't going anywhere, so I'm gonna go and leave you with today's advent chocolate.

This is another difficult one, so I wish you loads of luck.

Blogmas day 7. An appology

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

This is just a quick post to apologies for not posting anything last night. I was very sick again last night, and was lay on the sofa watching the soaps with my brother all night. Time just got away from me and I forgot that I had my laptop with me.

Not to worry though because I will be back tonight with a proper post for you all. I'll leave you all with yesterday's advent chocolate. This one is difficult, even I don't know what it is, so I wish you all the best of luck. There are 2 guesses that I will allow, which, I hope, makes it slightly easier.

Before I go, I have a question about the prize. I went to Home Bargains yesterday and found a Lego Harry Potter book, and was wondering if you would like something nerdy like the book or something girly, which was my first idea. I want to give you something that I would love to get, but also make sure that you guys like it too. So let me know, and I will be getting it in a couple of days.

Have a beautiful day

Blogmas day 6. Winterlicious tag

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

I have been so busy doing an essay then I looked at the time and realized that I still had to do today's Blogmas post. This is much more enjoyable than an essay, but luckily I only have 500 words left before I start drafting.

Anyway I wanted to do this 'Winterlicious' tag. I do have a few Christmas themed tags I plan on doing, but decided I wanted this to be the first :) I hope you enjoy, and I tag you all!

Questions!
1) Favourite Winter Nail Polish?
Any deep red nail polish really. It reminds me of Christmas so much. I'm currently wearing the one from Technic with a gold glitter in between coats.
2) Favourite Winter lip product?
Definitely lip balm. I can't survive without it! Who wants icky chapped lips anyway?
3) Most worn Winter clothing piece?
My pyjamas or my boots, I can't decide. When I'm out I'm wearing my boots and when I'm in I'm wearing my cosiest pjs.
4) Most worn Winter accessory?
My scarf definitely. I recently bought a deep red chunky knit one from Everything5pounds, and have been wearing it non stop, I love it so much.
5) Favourite winter scent/candle?
I like spicy scents for winter, like Spiced apple, or cinnamon sticks. I'm currently burning Red apple wreath by Yankee candles, which smells amazing!
6) Favourite Winter beverage?
Hot chocolate or eggnog latte. I actually haven't had an eggnog latte yet, but I might go and get one tomorrow, because it's going to be a long day.
7) All time favourite Christmas/Holiday movie?
100% Santa Claus, the Tim Allen one. I watch it so many times every year, but I haven't watched it this year yet because we always watch it as a family for the first time, and my dad isn't here right now. But we'll watch it as soon as he is up
8) Favourite Christmas/Holiday song?
This one is difficult, I have so many. Jingle bell rock (because of Mean Girls) or Santa baby.
9) Favourite Holiday food/treat?
This one is probably really strange, but mine is trifle. I don't know why but I only ever have it at Christmas, so it is definitely a Christmas treat for me
10) What is your favourite Christmas Decoration this year?
I love my tree, yet again. I think it's because it reminds me of my family, and now that I no longer live with them it's more special
11) What's at the top of your Christmas list?
More candles. My fondness for candles has recently turned into an obsession for candles. I love them so much.
12) What are your plans for the holidays this year?
I don't actually know, it's all up in the air at the moment. What I do know is that I will be with my entire family and I am excited for that, because I haven't seen my dad since the beginning of October.

Please do this tag, I promise it was fun.

Finally here is today's advent chocolate. Don't forget to let me know what you think it is.

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

I'm still sick, but I managed to film my review for you, and here it is.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Have any of you read this book? If you have let me know what you thought of it.

As promised here is yesterdays advent chocolate:

Leave your guesses for both chocolates in the comments and if you get the most right you will get a Christmas present from me, which I will be buying as soon as I am well enough to go shopping.

Blogmas day 4. I'm sick

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

Today has been very unexciting, because I have been sick. So I'm not sure how interesting this post is going to be. I spent the morning in bed sleeping and finishing my book, and I'll be filming my review on that tomorrow if I'm feeling better. Then I spent the afternoon catching up on some YouTube videos and blog posts. I did plan on watching Miricale on 34th Street, but caught up on the internet, which happens a lot. Please tell me I'm not the only one that happens to, I always go online for 5 minutes then end up browsing all afternoon. And you know what? I don't even know what sites I go on, it's crazy!

I honestly have no idea what to write about tonight, I'm just sat here in front of the fire, with my blanket, watching Emmerdale. I'm exciting, I know! :-P I might try and have a shower once Emmerdale is over, hopefully that will make me feel better. What are your tips for making yourself feel better when you're sick? I'd love to know. I usually lounge around reading a good book, or watching a movie.

Anyway I think I'll get going. Unfortunately my phone doesn't seem to want to connect to my laptop, which is frustrating. Hopefully I'll have that sorted out by tomorrow and you can have 2 guesses tomorrow

Blogmas day 3: My winter essentials

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

Today I want to share with you all something I've been excited to post for a while now, but felt it was too soon to do. However now that it's December, and the weather getting so much colder, I felt it was time to share with you all, my winter essentials!

Originally, I wanted to own each individual item, to take pictures of, and make this into a series, but with me being a student with no job, I realized that wasn't going to happen any time soon. However I have taken pictures of what I do own.
I really hope you enjoy this post, so lets get started.

Wardrobe:

  • Boots - I personally love boots, and am desperatly wanting yet another pair. Flats are perfect for daytime, especially if you walk a lot, like I do. I wear the same boots constantly until I wear them out, which probably isn't a good thing LOL
  • Jeans - I much prefer jeans to leggings, because they keep you warmer. I think dark wash jeans are great for winter because it is known that dark colours keep you warmer, however any colour of jeans are fine. What I don't like about jeans, though, is how they cling to you when it's been raining, so uncomfortable.
  • Jumpers - I am loving jumpers this year. I used to be obsessed with hoodies, but I've kinda gone off them this year and much prefer jumpers to keep warm. I only have 2 but it's enough for right now.
  • Hoodies - Although I prefer jumpers now, I still love hoodies, especially for lazy days lounging around the house.
  • Knitted cardigan - These are the same as jumpers, they keep you warm and look great.
  • T-shirts - I think t-shirts are better at keeping you warm than blouses/shirts, and they are much cheaper. I personally buy from the mens section in Primark because they are only £3 and are comfortable!
  • Fuzzy socks - Who wouldn't want fuzzy socks? They keep your feet warm and if you slather your feet in lotion first you'll end up with super soft feet. I wear mine constantly, and when it's especially cold out, I wear them on top of my regular socks
  • Socks - Well you need to keep your toes warm, and because your feet are covered, you don't want your shoes to get smelly :P
  • Tights - I like to wear these under my jeans when it is super cold, because it just keeps you warmer. Also with tights you can get away with wearing a dress or a skirt, just make sure the tights are thick
  • Scarf and gloves - I love wearing scarves they are really fashionable and keep you warm. Gloves are great at keeping your hands warm, which then stops them from getting chapped/dry. I like to slather my hands in hand cream before putting my gloves on to keep them soft. I recently bought a pair of touch screen gloves from the pound store, meaning I no longer need to take my gloves off to use my phone! Genius!
  • Pyjammas - I like to lounge around in comfortable clothes in the winter, and what's comfier than pyjamas, right? I often get mine from Primark, cheap and cosy
Body:

  • Exfoliater - Winter dries out your skin so you need to exfoliate it all off
  • Body butter - I think body butter is better in the winter than a body lotion because it is thicker, and you want to keep your skin soft
  • Foot lotion - For baby soft feet
  • Hydrating face mask - This can be store bought or homemade. I find that my face mask is rather hydrating if you want a home made one
Make-up:

  • Hydrating foundation or BB cream - Because your skin gets really dry in the winter, I find that my foundation needs to be really hydrating, this often means that full coverage isn't the best option as that tends to be drying. BB creams are great because you also have SPF in them and even in winter you need an SPF
  • Primer - Again you need to keep your skin hydrated and I find that a primer great. Use your moisturiser and your primer and you'll still have soft, beautiful skin
  • Cream blusher - I find that cream blusher gives a much more natural look than powder blush does in the winter, because your cheeks will get naturally blushed when your outside in the cold.
  • Lip balm - I love lip balm and use it constantly to keep my lips soft. If you wear lipstick a lot, you'll know how important it is to have soft lips for your lipstick to look good, and lip balm is a cheap way to do that
  • Dark nail polish - I don't know why but I much prefer to wear dark nail polish in the winter than bright, I guess it just makes me feel warmer (if that makes sense)
Misc:

  • Blanket - To lounge around with and keep warm
  • DVD's, books, and games - You need something to do during those long cold nights in
  • Hot chocolate and tea - Hot drinks to warm you up from the inside
  • Hot water bottle - Perfect to cuddle up with under your blanket to keep you warm
  • Bubble bath - Sinking into a warm bath after a long day is the best way to unwind
  • Candles - Lighting a scented candle makes me feel all warm and cosy inside
  • Vitamin C and hand sanitizer - To try and stop yourself getting sick
  • Tissues and Flu and cold medication - If you do get a cold (and you probably will) you'll want to get well quickly, so keeps these close by
Well that's all for today. I'm sorry this post is rather long, but I really enjoyed writing it.

Let me know if you would add anything to this list, what are your winter essentials?

And last but not least, here is today's advent chocolate. I had to look closely to figure out what it was supposed to be, I hope you have better luck.

Leave what you think it is in the comments below. I've been looking for prize ideas, and I have an idea what it will be, and I, personally, of course, think it's a great prize. So if you want a chance to win, tell me what you think my advent chocolates are.

Blogmas day 2

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

To start off this post, here is today's advent chocolate. Can you guess what it is? There has definitely been a bit of controversy between my family about what it is, so let's see if anyone gets it right shall we?

Let me know what you think it is in the comments below to be in with a chance to win an extra Christmas present.

I don't actually have much to write about tonight, I've only really done a little bit of Christmas shopping. Well technically we went shopping to get our Christmas day outfits, but didn't end up getting that. My mum and I have Christmas jumpers, and instead of dressing up really nice we're wearing our jumpers with some leggings because they are from the men's section :-P I'm actually excited to wear something a bit more relaxed this year, although I'll probably dress it up with some beautiful heels and do my make-up and hair really special. Not sure what I'm going to do with my hair and make-up yet, but I've got some time for that.

How are you all getting on with your Christmas shopping, by the way? I'm pretty much done, only got to get 1 more thing for my mum and brother and selection boxes, then I'm done. I've even got my cards.

Question for you all. Do you have a 'Christmas haircut'? My mum and I do, and I was just wondering if anyone else did too. I rarely get my hair cut, I'm quite lucky in the fact that it doesn't need it very often, but I definitely look forward to it at Christmas time. I often get a different style, kind of like I'm getting a new look for the new year. It makes me feel new and prepared for a new year, a better year. Are any of you like that? I'm curious.

Right I'd best be off, my tea is almost ready. Spaghetti hoops, naan bread and some rice, yummy. Then I'm off to snuggle down with my book because I am rather cold, and am loving my book.

Have a beautiful night

Blogmas day 1! Ins and Outs of November

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

Happy 1st December! Can you believe it's December already? Where has the year gone? I'm excited though, are you?

I've decided to have a little competition within this years Blogmas, with my advent calender. What I'll do is, take a picture each day of my advent chocolate and share it with you, and all you have to do is guess what it is supposed to be and leave it in the comments. Whoever gets the most right will get a little prize. I'm not sure what the prize will be yet, but as soon as I do, you will too.
I thought it would be fun, because every year my chocolates can be hard to figure out, probably because they are so small. Today's is a little bit blurry, but here it is.

So, what you you think it is? Don't forget to leave it in the comment section below.

I decided I would do my Ins and Outs, as my first post, mostly because I do this at the beginning of every month.

In:

  1. Soaps. I've been watching pretty much all of the soaps, everyday. I'm a little bit behind on Coronation Street, but plan on catching up really soon. I don't know why I started watching them again, but I'm glad I did.
  2. Tiny Tower. I have become obsessed with this again. If I'm not on that I'm on Pinterest. I'm now on 73 floors, which is just ridiculous! The creators of it have decorated the tower all Christmassy! I got so excited when I saw that.
  3. Enjoying bus rides. I love bus journeys, especially when I'm on my own, it gives me plenty of time to read, and I find them so relaxing.
  4. Reading. Leading on from that last one, I have been loving reading the past 3 weeks. So much so, that I've been reading 1 a week
Out:

  1. Soft lips. I don't know why, but my lips have been incredibly chapped this month. I think I've worked out how to stop them getting chapped though, which I might share with you all in my next post.
  2. Sleeping. I've had major problems sleeping lately, and you can definitely tell from the horrible bags under my eyes
Not many Outs this month, which is quite nice. What are your Ins and Outs of the last month? Let me know, I love finding out what you've all been loving.

That's it for today, check back tomorrow for Blogmas day 2! Also if you are doing Blogmas, leave the link below, I'd love to read them.

Kim's book corner: The Casual Vacancy

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

Today I thought I would share with you all my review of JK Rowling's newest novel, 'The Casual Vacancy'. I filmed this last Monday, and have already filmed the next review, but as I mentioned in my last post I haven't really been on the internet this past week.

I hope you all enjoyed this review. Have any of you read it? If so, let me know what you thought.

Look out for my next review, which will hopefully be up on Wednesday.
